| Job Detail | The Reservoir Engineer is responsible for maximizing
hydrocarbon recovery and optimizing reservoir performance across operated and
non-operated assets. The role involves reservoir evaluation, production
forecasting, simulation modeling, reserves estimation, and technical support
for development planning and investment decisions.
Responsibilities ·
Prepare, update, and
manage the daily production database for operated and non-operated fields. ·
Analyze production
performance and recommend strategies to optimize hydrocarbon recovery
throughout the project lifecycle. ·
Conduct variance
analysis of actual production versus forecast and budget. ·
Perform reserves
evaluation for exploration and development leases using volumetric and static
methods. ·
Apply Decline Curve
Analysis (DCA) for reserves booking and production forecasting. ·
Conduct material
balance calculations for oil and gas reservoirs to support reservoir management
decisions. ·
Assist in the
development of short-term and long-term production forecasts and budgets. ·
Design and interpret
Pressure Transient Tests (PTA), including drawdown, buildup, and deliverability
analysis. ·
Perform PVT analysis
and nodal analysis for operated and non-operated wells/fields. ·
Identify favorable
hydrocarbon zones for perforation and re-perforation using open-hole and
cased-hole log data. ·
Witness and supervise
onsite data acquisition activities such as DST, PLT/PSP, BHP surveys, and
surface well testing. ·
Build, run, and update
reservoir simulation models using industry-standard simulators. ·
Support integrated
reservoir studies to optimize well placement, timing, compression strategies,
and enhanced recovery schemes. ·
Provide
simulation-based input for Field Development Plans (FDPs) and investment
proposals. ·
Assist
in preparation of development plans, production profiles, and economic
evaluations for investment proposals. ·
Evaluate
farm-in opportunities and potential asset acquisitions. ·
Support
planning of future operations and assess resources required to execute
development strategies. ·
