RESPONSIBILITIES

Petroleum Exploration (Pvt) Ltd. is seeking a Petroleum Exploration Geologist with 8 to 10 years of experience in the E&P sector, specializing in G&G evaluations for prospect generation, evaluation, risking, and ranking. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to use software programs for geological interpretation and demonstrate excellent teamwork, presentation, and communication skills to coordinate effectively with reservoir and drilling engineers and geophysicists. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Stratigraphic correlations

·         Generation of subsurface maps:

Ø  Isopach

Ø  Gross Sand

Ø  Isoporosity

Ø  Structural Cross Sections

Ø  Allen Diagrams / Fault Seal Analysis

·         Petrophysical evaluation of electrical well logs for:

Ø    Net Pay

Ø    Porosity

Ø    Hydrocarbon (HC) bearing Zones

Ø    Water Saturation

Ø    Reserve Estimation

·         Well Site Operations:

Ø    Sample Description

Ø    HC Shows Description

Ø    Composite Log Preparation

Ø    Daily Morning Reports

·         Technical report writing and presentation to the Management and JV Partners

REQUIREMENTS

·         Proven experience as a Geologist in the E&P sector.

·         Experience with various geological techniques and software programs in technical evaluation.

·         Ability to analyze and integrate various technical data in final analysis.

·         Good knowledge of clastic and carbonate depositional environments and their reservoir characteristics.

·         Strong written and oral communication/presentation skills.

·        Data Management skills, i.e., ability to organize data and reproduce required data in the minimum possible time

·         Master of Science Degree in Geology.
